Event Overview

IGNITE Youth Leadership Conference is an annual youth conference put on by Grace Church in Des Moines. At IGNITE, they have likeminded speakers and trainers partnering with likeminded ministries, with the goal to equip and train students, youth workers, and volunteers with Biblical principles. Principles that will help each church or ministry accomplish the goal of reaching people with the gospel of Jesus Christ.

In addition, here are some things that make them unique:

• Every year 50% of their speakers and trainers are new to the conference. With changing themes and topics, they attempt to locate Biblical thinkers and speakers who help address that year’s focus and theme.

• They are a youth conference that seeks to help youth workers with all the intangible needs and issues of navigating a weekend with students. They help provide free housing and lunch for all registrants. They also provide free food during their late-night option on Friday night for all students and a free appetizer buffet for all the adult youth workers.

• They have three different training times during the weekend that offer 10+ workshops each time that specifically equip student leaders, volunteers and full time youth workers.

IGNITE YLC 2024 will be held at Grace Church at 4200 E 25th St, Des Moines, IA 50317. Teenagers will stay overnight in Ankeny Free Church at 118 NW Linden St, Ankeny, IA 50023 and be supervised by both male and female adult leaders to ensure a safe and secure experience. Guys will be staying in the gymnasium and girls will be staying in the youth room. Teenagers are encouraged to bring toiletries, air mattresses, pillows and bedding to have a pleasant stay. There are no showers, but teens will have access to separate bathrooms and a kitchen within the church. At the conference this year, they will feature Christian illusionist, Drew Worsham, Christian music artist and author, Trip Lee, pastor and youtuber, Jon Jorgenson, comedians, The Skit Guys, Reasons for Hope founder, Carl Kerby and more! The conference costs $70 per teen and must be paid prior to departure. Fees go towards admission, food, and other event costs. Teens should bring some extra money if they'd like to get something from the snack shop during the event. Schedule

The weekend will be a mix of 4 large general sessions and 3 smaller breakout sessions. In addition, they will have extra late-night options on Friday night. The doors open at 5:30 p.m. on Friday night and the conference ends around 5:00 p.m. on Saturday evening.
