HBC Teen Ministry is a community of teenagers that strive to bring one message to the world: JESUS. We believe that God's Word is crucial to guiding teens in spiritual growth so that they might live a life that shines Christ. This is the biblical model given to us in Proverbs 3:5-6: to trust God in all that we do and look to Him for guidance in our life rather than the wisdom of the world.
Our goal is to help every teenager to grow in Christ, find Godly friends, learn God's Word, and to feel at home with us. If you are looking for a good church home for your teenager, you'll find a place at Heartland Baptist Church.
Sunday Main Service @ 8:30/11am
These are identical 1 hour services where teens meet in the Youth District during the adult main service. Teenagers enjoy games in our Rec Room and fellowship hall, breakfast items, worship, friends, age-specific sermons for the Jr. and Sr. High, and games. On special Sundays, teenagers join the adults in the main service to enjoy Missions Sundays, Easter, Christmas Sundays and more!
Sunday School Service @ 10am
The teenage Sunday School service is a 40 min service that is held in the Youth District in the Lower Level of the church every Sunday morning, while the adults attend their classes throughout the church. Teenagers can enjoy worship, fellowship, and small groups as they work through case studies which teaches them to apply biblical teaching to everyday scenarios. We have a fantastic group of Adult Youth Leaders as well as YouthLIT (Leaders in Training) members who help make teenagers feel welcome, have fun, and leave feeling encouraged.

Teen Nights on Wednesday Nights @ 7:00 pm
Our Wednesday night service is held outside in our picnic shelter from around May to October months and in the lower level from October to April. Teenagers can expect to enjoy our outdoor sports areas when meeting outside. This includes basketball, sand volleyball, kickball, castelsquares, and more! We have a special snack each week and have practical Bible lessons while playing games and getting to know each other.
Activities
We have teen activities with lots of fun, laughter, and friends. Our teens are given an environment to have fun and spend time with the leaders of the youth ministry while hearing the Gospel. Some annual events that teens can expect are things like Adventureland, Winter Meltdown, Faithfest, Skyzone and more! Sunday Night Teen Connects
Once a month after the Sunday evening church service, teens and leaders connect with each other while going out to a local, inexpensive restaurant or ordering in at the church. We love places that have a dollar menu! For teens that don't have transportation after church, we are happy to bring them home afterward.
Summer and Winter Camps
Each summer and winter we attend Iowa Regular Baptist Camp where teens have tons of fun and memories are made. Summer camp includes tubing, a giant blob, paintball, crafts, a zipline, and group games while winter camps offer snow tubing, snowmobiling, floor hockey and so much more!
